Training & Development
Graduates are fundamental to our future and as such we are committed to investing a great deal of time and energy in their development.
We combine practical skills training with early responsibility on project work, and multi-disciplinary design and engineering with opportunities to expand your knowledge by working abroad.
Once you have joined PB, we'll sit down with you and develop a structured training plan. You can expect to focus on your individual needs and talents, to give you all the responsibility you can handle on quality projects across diversity of areas, and to offer you support every step of the way in the form of a personal mentor.
There will be plenty of opportunities to show us what you're made of. You'll interact with clients at all stages of a project's lifecycle, join a community of practice and be able to discuss your development needs with senior management from across our organisation as part of our Professional Growth Network, the first of its kind in our industry. Led by Staff in the early years of their careers. Past PGN chairs now hold influential roles with PB around the world. Dr Steve Denton, director of bridge and structural engineering, says: "One of the things I really like about our programmes is that they articulate what's important for the organisation. By recognising different career paths, we're saying that all these matter. By investing in our younger staff, we recognise the huge value they contribute. "You have to be at the top of the game to get the highest level of attainment in the accreditation programmes, which shows that we're committed to excellence." "The emphasis on staff making a contribution outside of the company shows behaviour we value."
One thing's for sure and that is, along the way you'll develop the professional skills and knowledge needed to lead you to Chartered status.
