I was involved early on in the project, on the RIBA stage reports. On the B and C stages I was supporting the lead engineers. Stage D gave me the chance to take over the small power and data design from another engineer quite close to the issue deadline. I've just finished developing the fire detection and alarm system and the team's reached another milestone - we've had the stage E report signed off.

It's always good when news comes through that the latest RIBA Stage has been signed off and it's usually followed by a general thank you email from the client, circulated to the team to acknowledge their hard work.

I haven't had any complaints yet working for PB. The working environment is good, I get to work with a great bunch of engineers, and the support in place for graduates is great. The only thing to remember is that any company can only support you to the extent and pace you can work to. If you have the drive and desire to move quickly, PB can and will support that; likewise, if you need to move at a slower pace that isn't a problem either.

PB is fast establishing itself as a major player in the consulting engineering business here in the UK and that's providing a great opportunity for young engineers to grow with the company.
