What is the closing date for applicants?

Do you actively support working towards chartership status?
Yes, absolutely. PB encourages all graduates to work towards their chartership status by enrolling them on institution-accredited training schemes, by paying their subscription to their chosen institution and by supporting every graduate's individual development with an assigned mentor.

How can I progress through the company?
PB's graduate training programme will provide the freedom and flexibility that you want along with the professional support that you require. At PB we encourage our graduates to aim high. Our Professional Growth Network provides a social and professional network for emerging professionals and provides a direct communications channel to and influence on senior management. While in your role PB supports your managerial and technical development in a number of ways - internal project management courses, internal technical paper competitions and research grants are just a few examples of how we do this. Whatever way you wish to develop, PB is there to assist you.

How soon could I expect to be managing a project?
Some formal introduction to project management will typically be provided in the latter half of your second year. The aim is to get you working alongside more experienced members of your team, who will gradually be able to expose you to and build your project management experience.

Project Management inside PB is a crucial skill and therefore, as you would expect, we run extensive in-house training modules leading to our own internal accreditation.

What would my prospects be of working overseas?
As PB has projects and offices on all continents, there is potential to work overseas.

Some graduates in the past have worked on sites overseas for short periods of time, whilst others have transferred for longer periods to places such as Australia.

However, it is important to realise that you do need to build up your experience in the UK first.

How much choice do I have in where I work?
There will be some flexibility with regard to location as PB has offices across the UK. However, location flexibility may vary depending on project requirements.

We do recognise that work/life balance is important to you and wherever possible try to accommodate individual's needs.
